Back by popular demand, Open Streets returns to Houston Avenue with an extended route from Newberg Avenue to Rocky Creek Road. This family-friendly celebration will spotlight community spaces like Pendleton Homes, Bruce Elementary, and several local churches and businesses - featuring live music, games, and interactive activities for all ages.

“I’m beyond excited for the return of one of Middle Georgia’s most anticipated and requested events - Bike Walk Macon’s Open Streets! And the best part is, it’s returning to Houston Avenue and the surrounding areas, and it promises to be better than ever,” says District 2 Commissioner Paul Bronson.

“As a commissioner, I’m proud to support organizations like Bike Walk Macon that are dedicated to pedestrian safety, enhanced mobility, and building a vibrant, healthy community through creative initiatives like Open Streets and Play Streets.

I want to personally invite everyone — not just the amazing residents of District 2, but the entire Macon-Bibb family and neighboring counties — to join us. Bring your bikes, skates, skateboards, and your energy for a day filled with music, food, fun, and community connection. I’ll see you on the road!”
